Uganda is proudly known as the origin of this type of coffee, scientifically known to originate from the “Coffea canephora” species, its aroma has major characteristic of dark chocolate, nuts like almonds among others. Originally found in Western Sub-Sahara and central Africa, where Uganda “The Pearl of Africa” is proudly located and currently the world’s No.1 Exporter of this of this type of coffee (UCDA, ). It’s mainly grown in low altitudes of up to 1,200m above sea level and It’s grown in all parts of Uganda.
